Vice chairman of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) since 2006, Fred Tanne also contributes to the organization’s Finance and Investment Committees. Frederick Tanne previously sat on the board of Services for the Underserved, formerly known as Palladia, and Insaan Group, a nonprofit in which his participation created academic and entrepreneurship opportunities for individuals in Africa and the Indian subcontinent.
Recently retired, Fred Tanne served as partner Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He leveraged more than two decades of experience to counsel clients on matters related to corporate law. Mr. Tanne is knowledgeable in leveraged buyouts and private equity law, areas in which earned him a place among The Best Lawyers in America list. In addition, he handled growth capital investments and mergers and acquisitions.
Frederick Tanne is often sought after to speak at public events, such as the Brazil Investment Summit and Brazilian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association Annual Conference. Fordham Law School also invited him to speak on raising capital in Brazil, Russia, India, and China (BRIC) and other countries in similar stages of economic development.The Blog
